The Captain Is Dead - Join us on Discord

Chat/learn/ask about The Captain is Dead with Dan and JT!

Thunderbox Games works hard to create innovative and unusual video games, all based on fantastic board games. They are trying to do something super fresh with The Captain is Dead, (a game that started out in The Game Crafter community). Their Design Director, Dan, will be on this Discord server on Friday June 12th at 12pm ET to chat about the convergence of board and video games, as well as answer any questions you may have!

On top of that, one of the original designers of the board game and head honcho of The Game Crafter, JT Smith, will also be on hand to talk about how he made the original board game so freakin’ entertaining in the first place.

Not sure I understood correctly

Hello TGC, I wanted to briefly clarify HOW this event is being held... Ok so I know what I Discord Server is... But it's used mostly for Chat and Voice ... Are the Designers going to be TALKING (Voice) and the people interested sending questions via CHAT (Typing)???

Is it going to be like a live "question period"? Or more like a presentation where the designers will talk and then at the end have time for some questions... Really not sure.

If you could clarify that would be great. But in any case, I'd like to experience it for myself... So I might (probably) attend.

The AMA has been moved to June 19th out of respect for the ongoing protests.

So the AMA is now scheduled for the 19 June 2020 ... At 12:00 PM EDT??? You said that the date has changed, but I just wanted to be certain the TIME is still the same (probably ... but better to ask).

I unfortunately have errands to run tomorrow...

And will not be able to attend this event. Best of luck(!?) with the AMA and I hope you guys get a record attendance for this event. Sorry ... Some things take a priority in life (especially during these really HOT times...)

I'll see if I will be home for 12:00 EDT ... But I doubt it.
