I am looking for information regarding to of game package design standards and rules. The game I am producing is about to be distributed at European and American markets.
Is there any ingredient that must appear on the game box?
Is there any size limitation that I need to be aware of?
I will appreciate any guide regarding to this.
Thank you all,
Eitan

(I know this is an old thread, but no one responded...)

I wouldn't say size limitation, but definitely standards... Look at all the games that you play and love - many of them share some standard sizes. A few reasons for this are shipping and shelf space. Others have done the math (not that you shouldn't or don't have to) in order to find the most efficient box size, number of boxes in a case, and cases per pallet. (Check out Michael Mindes's [of Tasty Minstrel] blog post about his experience with this (link below). And then there is the fight for shelf space. While odd shaped boxes can certainly get consumer attention, they don't play well with others - they're sometimes (more) difficult to stack, store, and put on shelves.

Other than that, keep trolling forums and dig through others blogs. ;)
