Hello,
The first presentation of our new games publisher Cloudberry Games is now online: http://www.cloudberrygames.com/
Focus is on involving gamers in the publishing process and publishing the games that gather enough interest to make a print possible (most often at least 1000 copies are needed).
We are leaving for Essen tomorrow, I will probably not be able to answer any questions here or by email during the weekend, but will get back to you afterwards.
Best regards,
Rustan Håkansson

I'm in Sweden, so it is still the same day as when I posted the first note :)
We will publish more details as we get closer to opening, and the small details are more exact...
Some problems in the current market:
New authors have a difficult time to reach publishers. Many self-publish, having to learn how publishing works while they would rather do their normal job and create new games instead.
New types of games have difficulties being published, most need to go through the same mold to maximize the potential number of buyers. (Here Martin Wallace is breaking interesting new ground with a 3-player-only game, but he is in a very special situation.)
Publishers need to print large volumes to reduce costs, as they need high margins to cover the games that makes them a loss.
Old games that are out of print are still wanted, but not wanted enough to warrant a reprint by a normal publisher.
All of these problems and more we can fix with what is presented at the website, combined with a couple of other solutions still unpublished. I have browsed a couple of threads on this forum as well, especially those discussing flatpackgames, and I believe we can solve most of the requests for increased flexibility in publishing expressed there.
I hope it helped a bit!
