Announcing DriveThruCards
OneBookShelf is expanding our connected marketplaces to include a site dedicated to selling digital and print-on-demand card products. Just as our roleplaying game sites sell both digital and print-on-demand books, DriveThruCards will offer both digital download (for print-and-play at home) card products as well as the option to set up your card products for print-on-demand. Whether you have cards as play aids, or trading card games, or stand-alone card games, DriveThruCards will offer you a new channel for selling your card products.
Nothing has changed from the process you're already familiar with: A customer orders your cards in print; we print the cards to order and ship them to the customer; and we credit your royalty account.

DriveThruCards is scheduled to launch to customers in January 2013. We are taking card products from publisher partners now, though, so we can get you proofs to approve and have your card titles ready for our launch marketing.
Note that, upon the launch of DriveThruCards, all POD card products will be displayed and sold only on DriveThruCards (and not on our sister sites). Eventually we will allow card products to be displayed and sold as appropriate on all OneBookShelf sites, so you can list your RPG game aid cards on DriveThruRPG and RPGNow, or your card-based wargame on Wargame Vault, and so on.
All questions you might have on this topic should go to DriveThruCards Publisher Service Liaison Brian Petkash .
Minion Games will be a big supporter of DriveThruCards and will have a DESIGNER LINE of games listed there. We're accepting submissions now. Card games can include rules that request the player to find some counters or dice, that's not a problem.
The idea is we find some decent games from some new designers and with little risk/costs we post them under our Brand on the site. If they take off we consider a full print run and distribution to game stores. We will pay for 1 day of our artists time and 1 day of our layout guy's time to whip your game into shape to be sold online as PnP or POD. Thus the bar is lowered and we can try more risky games or less known publishers.
Interested and serious people may contact me directly though our website contact form.
