As many of you no doubt have noticed, more than a month has passed since my original date for announcing the results of our design contest, the blame for which lands squarely on my personal shoulders, and not ToyVault's. My apologies to the gaming community in general, and to the contest participants specifically.

Now, on to the winners!

We received several game designs of varying degrees of stability, playability, and fun, and after extensive playtesting and the consumption of a great deal of caffeine, we were able to narrow the winning entries down to these five. In no particular order, the winners of ToyVault's Piecepack Game Design contest are:

Glob, by Antonio Recuenco Muñoz

Cream of the Crop, by Jay Cormier and Don Kirby

Trade Routes, by Andy Van Zandt

Shark Tank, by Richard Durham

Relativity, by Marty Hale-Evans and Ron Hale-Evans

These five games will be included in the in-package rulebook for our Piecepack, which will be in stores early this Fall, and will receive game design credit both in the rulebook and on the package. Additionally, each designer or design team will receive 12 free copies of our Piecepack.

We'll have a few other surprises in store - we've arranged for a few other designs to make their way into the rules. Thanks for participating!

Go team "us"

This is quite nice to hear! Congratulations to other design winners here -

What I'd really like to know is if all the designers who contributed ideas want to get together a thread/blog where we can compile the BGDF created Piecepack games. You know, for the kids :)
