Woodbine Street Games is proud to release our first game in a free print and play version for your enjoyment.

The Galaxy Corporate: Star Traders is a game of economics and piracy for two to four players. It plays in roughly two hours and is a lot of fun, if we do say so ourselves.

Players race to become the largest corporation in the galaxy by acquiring planets and trade outposts through any means necessary. With each new possession comes a boost in your influence. When a player reaches the required influence level, he or she wins. Hire mercenary ships, upgrade your own flagships, and populate them with crew to help you achieve your goal.

Will you become a trader baron or a galactic pirate? The choice is yours in the Galaxy Corporate.

The game can be found here:

Enjoy!

Heya Crifmer, Wow man, it

Heya Crifmer,

Wow man, it looks like you put a ton of effort into this ! I havent read the rules thouroughly at all, but it looks to shape up as a proper cool game!

Has it been playtested a lot so far?

I love the geographical map system you use, very clever :) - it's kind of similar to the eclipse board in how it connects, but I actually think yours looks mechanically better :)

Hey, thanks for the nice

Hey, thanks for the nice words!

I've been playing this game for the past five years with family and friends. It's been hard to get outside testers, but I feel that among the people I know I have a very good spectrum of gamers/non-gamers and got a LOT of really really good feedback. They don't pull punches with me and I can't even tell you how hard they came down on this one, but that's why I listen to them. I wouldn't have put this out there if I didn't feel it was ready for the general public to rip it apart.

I'm considering this the "public beta" before release. I'm talking to graphic designers now to get it ready for retail production and hopefully will launch a kickstarter campaign in April or so. I figure the best way is to just get it out there and let the people see it, hopefully build up some word of mouth. Once the BGG page is approved, I'll try to get it reviewed.

Hehehe look at the designer ramble about his game!

Anyway, I appreciate the interest. Hopefully it'll reward your efforts in putting a copy together.

I just wanted to add the BGG

I just wanted to add the BGG page link to the thread: http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/118952/the-galaxy-corporate-star-traders

I've got some of the art done and am getting ready to contact printers next week (getting the final "wish list" specs together this week). Life happened and I obviously didn't hit my April target. April kinda hit me instead. The rulebook has also undergone a "readability" revision.

Still shooting for a launch in Q4. We'll see how close that's cutting it.

Very nice! I have plenty of

Very nice! I have plenty of free time this summer and I'll be glad to test it out. Since it's Elite-themed I'm sure i'll find plenty of old nostalgics to have a go at it.
I've been mulling around a few ideas for a space-trading game ever since "The Merchant of Venus," although my concepts all tend to go into card-game direction.. I'll try the GC out and see maybe if can send a few of those your way... if appropriate, ofc. :)
