Hi everyobdy. I guess that it's appropiate that I introduce myself. I'm Diego, an industrial designer from Argentina.
I've started getting interested in boardgames for a while as another venue to explore design ideas and I'm finding it fascinating as it has lots of similarities to product design while having a different focus.
It's hard -and expensive- to get boardgames here so I haven't played as many as I'd like (and I know that playing games is the most important thing for aspiring designers to do) but that's the reality I have to deal with.
I'm now slowly advancing with a game design in my free time. I've gotten to the point where I can safely say that the core mechanics are locked down and now I gotta test, balance and experiment with secondary mechanics. It's nothing revolutionary but I'm quite satisfied with it for a first proyect. I guess I'll make a post about it down the line as right now all the assets are in spanish.
I've been reading the forum a bit and there's lots of interesting disscusions here, I hope I can contribute.
Thank you all, and thank you quest for the recommendation, I'll be sure to check those pages out.
Which would be the best forum to post about my game? I've seen there's many subforums regarding discussing mechanics and theory but I don't see a "my game" subforum so I don't know what's the protocol here. :P
