Hello everyone!
I'm fairly new to gaming in general, let alone to game-design. I like to create stuff, and my brain is very spatially-oriented, so I love designing layouts and maps. I like strategy and have always loved Risk (though I am yet to win a full game). I also love studying history more than almost anything I could give my time to, so I'm trying to combine my love of history with my enjoyment of games and creation/design.
I've been wanting to create a line of historical games that somehow remain true to the historical account of moments that changed the course of history (not just the battles or wars, but they'll be included), but also allow for players to work together, or in opposition, to determine how the moment or epoch takes a new shape in their hands. I especially want to focus on the underdogs of history--some of whom achieved their goals, while others remained under the thumb of those they resisted.
I'm hoping to join others with similar dreams and ideas, to learn from you all and to swap ideas and theories! I'm really excited to join this collection of designers and gamers!
