Hi all. So I have loved board games all my life and when I married someone who loves board games, my collection tripled and I just keep getting more and more into them. I recently decided I wanted to try making my own game. A card game based of the old computer game, Oregon trail. I loved that game as a kid and wanted to re-create it for nostalgia if nothing else.
Maybe I can sell the game on kickstarter to other people who share my nostalgia? If not, hopefully the game can stand on its own.
Even though I am familiar with gaming, I am new to the social media aspect. I joined BGG a week ago and have been eating up all the information I can find. I found this site and it seems even nicer than BGG in the aspect of designing because.. thats its focus.
I would love feedback/advice and I do plan on releasing the rules and a pnp to hopefully get some playtesting advice. (I will probably have the pnp ready by next week).
If you guys care to stay updated with the game I started a blog on BGG

And here is my first post about the game on BGG

Thanks, I look forward to getting to know this site better.
