Hello everyone and Kia Ora!
My name is Takashi, and yes I'm from New Zealand :)
I am an avid table game player, and have recently entertained the idea of looking to get into creating and publishing my own table games, starting with one I have already designed and am currently playtesting. I look forward to further communicating with everyone with the further unveiling of my board game, and to seeing the workings of like minded individuals come to fruition.
Hello from Aotearoa (NZ)
Glad to have you aboard. I don't know how many other Kiwis there are around these parts but I wish I did. I live near Wellington, you see, and we're getting together some local designers for prototype sessions. Where are you located?
Sorry to see you moved to Auckland. It's a bit far to come for a casual prototyping session. At the sessions designers bring a game they're working on, often in very rough form, and we play test them to work out the mechanics and see how they can better enforce the play experience the designer wants.
If we get bigger and more organised down here, then I'll encourage long distance trips. For now you might look up Treefrog games. Martin Wallace is a well-established designer up your area that has a regular, larger designer "convention" coming up soon.
Hey there Richdurham! And thank you! I'm actually originally from Wellington, but am now Auckland based. When and where are you planning on having your prototype sessions? Haha, and this next question might bring you some laughs... What is it that you talk about/do at your prototype sessions?
Thanks for the welcome :)
