Hello from Greece! I am a greek archaeologist and school teacher. I love games as an alternative tool of science communication. During the last couple of years I have been designing an educational board game regarding history and archaeology of ancient Athens. I have submitted it to Hippodice 2013, but unfortunately the answer was negative. I was wondering if there exists a contest specialised in educational games. I have n't found anything through google searching and it seemed a little bit peculiar to me.

I don’t believe that there is
I don’t believe that there is one or at least I have not heard of one in the 9 years I have been seriously designing games.
Winning a contest is very gratifying but you could get it published without winning one.

Welcome to the forum.
How cool is this to have an archeologist / teacher on the forum. I am interested in the game and stories you have been on during your years as an archeologist.

Hello from Serbia
I am interested in your game, please contact me on my personal e mail: rugby13np@gmail.com
There are so many competitions for computer based educational games and nothing for games in physical form... :-(
Thank you for the optimistic idea of getting published without winning a contest! I will certainly try contact with publishing companies, but the -possibly more objective- evaluation of a game by experienced judges, motivated not only by profit, would also be very helpful.
