Hello Everyone,
My wife Robin and I are aspiring game designers. Although not official, yet, we are Adam & Robin Games (ARG).
We have one game that we are currently trying to play test at various game nights. It's a children's game, called Nut Job, where the player is a squirrel, running around, collecting acorns. The moves and concepts are simple, but the game teaches them planning by causing them to look a few moves ahead. I haven't been able to test much with my target age group, but the older folks seem to enjoy it well enough. If nothing else, they enjoyed making innuendos. We want to create some final art and figure out how to produce it economically to see if there is a market.
We have 2 games in which we are in the process of developing prototypes. The furthest one along is sort of like a cross between Chess and Stratego. It has some cool mechanics and expandability. Theme and name are still in the works. The second game is a deck builder centered around biker gangs (Biker Bar Brawl: Booze, Bikes, Bitches and Bad Asses). Obviously not a children's game, but I look forward to testing this one. We have to put all the information on cards, then we can start the testing! Though we are lacking art. Any good suggestions for artists?
There are about 6 concepts that we are gradually developing. Hopefully one will be successful.
Also, if anyone has the need for simple 3d models printed, I have a printrbot simple. I have some CAD skills too. I can't do fancy elaborate models, but basic stuff for play testing I can do.
I look forward to geting to know everyone on here.
Thanks,
Adam
