Hey everybody, my name is Ryan. At this posting I am 32 years old and live in Greeley, Colorado, USA.
I've been playing games my whole life. We always had family game night, mostly the stuff you get at target like Clue, Risk, Monopoly, and Mousetrap. Then, about the time Catan first came out I got hooked on more elaborate games and have followed the board game trends more closely since then. I really enjoy a good Terra Mystica game, or a light-hearted King of Tokyo, and countless others.
A year ago I met my girlfriend who will play all my favorite games with me and test out my own creations. I am so lucky. We went to our first BGG Con last November, and will be hitting many more in the future.
I've been making games since I was a kid. I learned some programming in high school, and have made some computer games, too. I also am a big puzzle enthusiast and have tried my hand at some of those. Many of my creations can be found at my website, www.rytracer.com.
For the past four years I've been a graphic designer at a sign company. As of last week I am looking for new employment, but my graphic skills and proximity to nice printers has made my game-making endeavors very polished.
I'll start a separate topic or blog on my current creation, "SNUB," which is all prototyped and has undergone about 6 games of playtesting with friends, but let me just say I would love to let any of you play it, but it is not easy to print and play, and requires substantial 3D construction. So what I'm really looking for is anyone in Colorado who would like to meet me in person. I live in Greeley, which is about an hour north of Denver, so meeting other game creators would be cool. And if you're looking for a game playing group, we have a regular Thursday night thing at one of my friends' house that is awesome. We usually have 12-20 people.
