Hello everyone. My name is Michael and I am really excited to be a part of this community and all the collected knowledge to learn.

A little bit about me:
I am just finishing college and have been into board games ever since I was introduced to BANG! and Citadels when I was 13. Over the course of the last 10 years, I have been building a nice game collection of many games I love. I recently got married to my wonderful wife and she has been a big part of my push to design actual games. Other things I like to do are playing sports, being outdoors, traveling, and having a good time with my friends.

For the past year, I have been working on designing my own game called "Trading Post". It is a game of coming together to explore new lands and gather materials to trade with one another, all to achieve one goal. To build the greatest trading post in the history of mankind.

It started off as a joke in reference to the 'trading post' card in Citadels but grew into something that I am really liking. I am currently playtesting my third prototype and I am growing closer to this game being finished.

Once again, I am very excited and honored to be apart of this community.

Hello Michael...

...and welcome to BGDF!

Be sure to share info about Trading Post so we can see your progress, and of course share your opinions on other topics. :)

Believe it or not, I've never played Citadels. What's your favourite thing about it (beyond naming your own game, of course...!) ?

Thanks, I'll share more about

Thanks, I'll share more about Citadels and Trading Post

Honestly, I have no idea where to share Trading Post info on this forum. I am not sure if I should put it under Prototyping or Playtesting.

For Citadels: "Players take on new roles each round to represent characters they hire in order to help them acquire gold and erect buildings. The game ends at the close of a round in which a player erects his/her eighth building. Players then tally their points, and the player with the highest score wins."

In this game, there was a card named Trading Post. My friends and I main goal in this game was to make sure that my friend Daniel never had a chance to erect his favorite card.

That is how the idea for Trading Post came to be.
