I am fairly inexperienced with board games but have swiftly fell in love with them. I do have experience with D&D though it is every old (2nd Edition) and have recently gotten into Pathfinders with a new playgroup also into board games. We have recently had the pleasure of playing Kingdom Death and I am totally hooked on that game. I have toyed around with the idea of making my own game and have finally started putting work into it. I was browsing some how-to's and found this site as being a go to resource so here I am. I hope to not only find feedback for my game as it grows but to also provide feedback of my own. I work in market research and have some experience providing impartial feedback. I'm also a bit artistic and depending on how my own game goes may be willing to provide basic mock ups/general designs in the future. Thanks for having me!
I am also new!
The forum is a great place to meet other designers, developers, play-testers, and others from our community. I, too, started with D&D 35 years ago, and since then have moved into wargames, and most recently designer games.
Don't hesitate to raise questions, solicit advice, and certainly contribute to the broad conversations. Most of the folks out here are exceptionally cordial, so jump-in, and enjoy!
Cheers,
Joe
Aaah, Pathfinder. I have many good memories in that system. I'm glad you've joined BGDF, and I look forward to seeing how your game develops!
I'm a (more-or-less) regular denizen on this board, so you if you need anything, don't hesitate to reach out. You can learn more about my projects here: https://www.facebook.com/omengames/
What kind of game are you planning? Worker placement? Deck-building?
