Hi everyone, my name is Jörgen and I've just turned 35 years old. I live in southern Sweden with my fiancee and son.
I've been a boardgamer for 18 years or so, ever since I played a session of Age of Renaissance with some friends. So we've had this group of people playing ever since then. However, since I had my son two years ago the gaming has been rather rare.
Now the hard years of parenthood have passed, so more games again - yay! I even got to resurrect my tradition of visiting Essen spiel this year. While there I was looking at the new FFG X-com game, and I was infuriated.
Why oh why didn't they let the aliens be controlled by a player? I've had that exact game idea for years. I loved UFO: Enemy unknown back in the 90's. I've been wanting a good board game implementation of it for a long time now. So FFG squandered it for a gimmicky tablet based coop game.
So that's what I hope to design - and one day sell at Essen Spiel :)
Best regards,
Jörgen
