The Game Crafter announces new urgent queue for printing games quickly!

Ever since we launched The Game Crafter, people have been asking (some pleading, and others demanding) that we offer an urgent production queue. Sometimes it’s for a last minute birthday / wedding / christmas present. Other times it’s for a class project. And other times they’ve made some last minute changes before going to a game convention. Whatever the case we’re pleased to announce that we are offering an urgent queue.

At the end of the checkout process, just before you put in your payment information, simply choose that you’d like your order to be marked urgent. (See a photo of this feature here)

That said, it does not come cheap. We’re charging 100% of the cost of your order (not including shipping) to mark it urgent. You’re probably saying to yourself, “I’d never pay that much.” And honestly, we hope you don’t. That’s why we’re charging so much. The urgent queue wouldn’t be very urgent if everyone was using it. At that point it would just be “the queue”.

You may be wondering how urgent the urgent queue is. Basically, the urgent queue puts your order ahead of everyone else’s order. It does not guarantee a specific ship date, instead just that we’ll work on your order right away. In most cases this means that we’ll produce your order the day you order it, or the day after.

This new functionality gives options to those who before had none. If you really need your game urgently, use the urgent queue. If not, we’ll continue to produce your game in the same rapid pace we always have. Enjoy!

WOW my feature request was CREATED!

Hehehe... One of my "site ideas" has been REALIZED:

"Add an option for FASTER order processing (Rush orders)"

My suggestion was to have a 10% or 15% markup... 100% is a lot. It will occur infrequently - but serves the purpose described.

Perhaps you could implement this feature DIFFERENTLY:

-Everyone gets ONE (1) Rush order "token" every 6 months.
-You can use it on any order but you have to wait 6 months before you can use it again.

This is another way of forcing people to use it ONLY when they REALLY need it... Just another point of view!

Note: Personally I would not use it for my orders - because they tend to be around $100.00. So 2x $100.00 is A LOT. Maybe $50 bucks if I need to get the game to a reviewer in a RUSH. Double is too high for my blood...

Update: That's only my prototypes => 4 game sets costs me $85.00. That does not include the game's rulebook (about 40 pages) nor the game's player mats (4x chipboard).
