Well, I've been trying for a loooong time to try to get my card and board games off of just paper, but the dang companies don't take unscolicited ideas >.<

Are there any suggestions?

Make a prototype, test it. Send the companies a presentation of your game (with pictures) and testimonials, a short summary and ask them if they want to know more.

These forums are overflowing with lists of companies that accept game ideas from every author. Look them up: naturally, you have a bigger chance of getting your game produced if you chose relatively small company.
First things first however. Making a prototype. (Is more work than it seems and probably you'll have to make two or even three different prototypes) testing is (This is a hell of a lot of work, often I have spent half a year testing a game to find out that I'd best start over from scratch... these moments are discouraging, but a perfect game (or near perfect) is worth all the effort. Companies will notice the effort it took.

Good luck
