Hi all,

Great forum! Just found it, and am interested in the competition. I had a quick question about playtesting; how extensively do the judges expect the game to have been playtested? I think the question this really gets at is, what is to be emphasized in the competition? The ability to come up with an innovative and fun (but potentially buggy) design, or the ability to put together a coherent, working game system ?

To those who have (or will) submitted: how much playtesting have you done?

A second question, regarding scoring of the "originality" aspect; what is this to be measured against? Obviously, with a contest called "Doomed Civilization", you are going to get people thinking along similar lines, and may get a bunch of "Atlantis" games, for example... Do you judge an "original" design to be one that doesn
