I want to make a game that
-Has the character development of an RPG
-Has quick setup like a board game
-Focuses on Exploration and Social Interactions as Mechanically strategic as Combat
-Role Playing emerges naturally out of the game mechanics
-The GM is allowed lots of creativity in setup of scenarios, but is able to "play" with the characters by playing against them.
-Has a troupe mechanic that allows you to control not only your own character, but a small group of underlings with varying utilities.
-The characters have an incentive to work together (my idea is a ship of some sort)
-has a unique yet familiar and fun campaign setting full of mystery and intrigue
i have a few more ideas, but i dont want to taint your awsome ideas with my tired old ones.
That sounds about right. I think im going to lift ideas from this pretty liberally thank you.
