3 Cent Sale on Game Components
Cool, I'll likely pick some things up.
I did notice a couple things that were weird, though. The sale page (http://news.thegamecrafter.com/post/65137725878/3-cent-sale-at-the-game-...) says Mini Cards, Skinny Mats and Micro Cards are on sale, but the prices listed for those on their individual pages don't reflect the sales price. And for the blank poker cards, the price when purchasing 1000+ has actually gone _up_ with this sale, which is probably not desired. Or maybe it is...but if I were buying more than 1000 I would definitely be waiting until the sale is over to lower my cost.
Thanks! Great way to promote the site. I actually needed some large blank cards, and it has made me a fan of your business. Top notch marketing, for me at least the sale appears to have done exactly what a sale should do!
Totally cashed in on this sale. Thanks, TGC. :D
Hi Sabash,
At the beginning of the sale we had thousands of each type of blank component. However, as the post mentions above, the sale is only good for as long as we have extra product. So it didn't take too long for some of the products to sell out! 3 cents is obviously quite a discount for most of the products and so designers in our community and on BGDF/BGG really made use of this opportunity. You are correct about the blank poker card price. Although most people don't need to purchase in the thousands so we thought it would be okay to keep them at 3 cents so that they matched our 3 cent theme. :)
The good news is we think it's a win-win situation and hope to offer the sale again in the future! We'll of course post the news here as well as our news page (news.thegamecrafter.com) and our Facebook/Google+/Twitter channels. Thanks!
Regards,
Tavis Parker
