Hi, again.

I was just about to ask this same question, but rather than creating a new thread, I'll bump yours.
This link (PDF) was posted in a recent thread. Screencap and edit to your heart's content: http://bamboozlebrothers.com/pdf/Sales_Sheet_Template-Dragon.pdf
It's a great example, but I'm wondering where they got their artwork from. Obviously, not all games are "pick up and deliver + meddling with others".
Looking through my game closet, I found that the results were wild and varied. Most of the games used nothing more than text and zero symbols.
I am willing to create all the symbols needed for free of charge and for all to use under CC license. Just let me know what symbols, such as below. I will do them in black and they will be vector so they can be changed in anyway your artist or designer needs to. This is the least I can do for the community I love!
So as below, make a list start posting your requests and I will compile them.
- Number of players
- Age range
- Playing time
ETC...
Thanks to all, from a fellow game Designer and Digital/Graphic Artist for hire (yah I just threw that out there, :) hope no one minds the self serving blurb)

Website being updated.
"Pick up and deliver" "Meddling with others" are almost certainly in-house clip-art. They probably have a whole set of proprietary icons along those lines ("co-operative" "area control" "trains" whatever), or else they create them one by one for sell-sheets like this one. They aren't standard so I wouldn't worry about them.
As for the usual three icons (time, players, age), while it looks like the general shapes are pretty set (clock, two guys at a table, parent and kid), each publisher seems to make their own version. If you didn't want to cut-and-paste them right out of the page, you could make them with the basic shape tools found in any vector program, like Illustrator, or in Photoshop. Free alternatives include Google's Gimp and Paint.net (www.getpaint.net).
And it looks like we have a generous offer already to assemble these. Thanks!
Incidentally, it looks like the font used on the sell-sheet is Arial, which would make sense since it's free and easy to read. Any sans-serif should do though.
Had some spare time so I whipped up:
- Number of players
- Age range
- Playing time
They're at: http://www.invisible-city.com/file_download/158/sideofboxicons.zip
The 1.1 MB ZIP file contains a PNG of the icons and the original Adobe Illustrator file. I just banged 'em out in about 10 minutes, so please don't think that I always put all my stuff in one layer. Normally, I work a lot tidier than that.
Good work InvisibleJon! If any others are needed let me know.
speaking of standardized symbols, where'd the font with a bunch of those get off to?
What a great idea!
Hi , someone else can help with another idea loke this one ?
Thanks a lot

Actually, here is a pretty crappy scan of the ones I did for 18EZ: http://boardgamegeek.com/image/548880?size=large I made them in OpenOffice Draw in about 10-15 minutes. (The look much better than this in person, I must say!)
It's not too difficult. Just a bunch of circles and rounded rectangles. If anyone would like, you could have them in .odg format (That's an OO Draw file extension.) I don't know how edit-able they'd be in .pdf, but you could take a shot.
Here's a cool symbol I made up a few years ago when this topic was being bandied about on another website. I have uploaded it here -
- and anybody here can use it as desired. It is an icon [which you can easily modify] that shows how long it takes to play your game.
Enjoy! :-)
Not even a grin?
Whoa... tough crowd....
Whoa... tough crowd....
Funny thing is that there are games on the market that would be well-served by an icon like that.
