I figured I'd post this *off-topic* in the "water cooler" forum... I have a friend who enjoys DESIGNING TOYS. Right now his interest in Batman toys. He is a real artist, for example on one Bane toy, he removed (with a knife) layers off the toys body simply so he could make the toy "bare-chested" like in the movie.
What he does is watch the movie and find clips that he could design. Right now he is designing a 3 story play set which will be Bane's lair below the surface of the ground.
Anyways he is doing it by using, demantling, cutting, etc. other toys he find that would work well with his play set.
Well the work he does is SUPER COOL, like he designed a 2 foot Batmobile with working lights that can be completely disassembled. I suggested he paint the Batmobile mat black and he followed that suggestion: it looks really good!
Anyhow I'm not making any plugs for him, but I would like to know if there would be anyway he could find a job in the TOY DESIGN industry??? Does anyone know where this all happens??? I mean the guy's parent's are architects so when he design he makes all kinds of 2D plans...
Anybody have any ideas or suggestions, about a possible job, forums (like BGDF but for TOYS), associations that he should belong to, etc.
