For better or worse, http://www.veritasgames.net/ now has a Game Design Glossary and Articles section, under our Game Design menu selection.

Lots of the best links are in the Glossary section. Anyone who wants to submit corrections or submit an article, let me know. I'll be happy to consider any thoughtful emails. I just found that I was sharing some of the same information over and over again, so I figured I'd put it up on the web. Now, I'm visually impaired and I did this by touch typing with only what limited edits my vision allows, so goodness knows if the links even work. So email me with all complaints (via my website). If it's good, email me with kudos too.

If people this something deserves an article, email me with an article idea, and if I know the answer or can find it out, I'll post it.

No problem. I hope my articles and glossary are useful too.

I tend to find that beginning designers ask the same questions over and over again. I kept waiting for the BGDF wiki, but since I haven't seen that, I came up with my own design site.

Like Rick said its a nice set of links. I had a couple thoughts while browsing them.

1 - I think you should loose the frames when a link take you to an extrernal site.

2 - A search would be nice.

Not intended as a slap to the face. More of a point of fact. I had nowhere to send newbies to, and they kept asking the same questions on other forums. So, I put together a site of my own.

I don't feel like porting all the content over to BGDF, but if a wiki ever pops up, I'll put links in it to some of my lists of links, articles, and my glossary. I may also contribute some content to a wiki, but I'll probably spend most of my energy adding new content to my site. I spent a fair amount of time putting together the links, the articles, the glossary text, etc., and I see no reason to abandon it.

Feel free to link to my site if you see an article that you want to link to on the wiki.

Also, if you guys want to contribute articles to my site, just email me.

Regarding frames and search -- if my vision will let me I'll fix my CGI scripts to recognize an offsite link today, and make it break out of frames. As for a search function, I'll see what I can do.

As an FYI, Ryan over at Guild of Blades may be coming out with a book later this year on cost saving measures and in-house production techniques for Indie game designers/publishers. I'll keep BGDF posted as Ryan informs me that the book has come out.
