We have been working on our game Headhunter: Hilarious Hires From History for a while, and things are going well. Anyways, one of the components is a 4-sided die because in the game you roll to see how many people are being hired (1-4). Out of our reviews, many people really liked the d4, and others didn't. We are still going with a die, but we got a suggestion and I want to see what people think. The alternative that we are considering is a 6-sided die that has sides of 1-2-2-3-3-4. The advantages, as we see it, are it is easier to read for less d4 savvy players, easier to roll, and adds a different level of probability. It is much more expensive up front, though. What do you think?
Thanks,

We considered the d8 as well, but I kind of like the d6 option better as an alternative, if we decide to replace the d4. The only reason that I would't think about the 2d6 options is because it adds another piece (even if it is only 1 die). But the Single 8, with the 1,1,2,2,3,3,4,4, would maybe be the other consideration.
Thanks,
Austin
