I little while ago I posted a thread/topic asking your opinions for my game's theme, and now I would like more opinions on the title!

Here are a couple ideas for you to chew on while you think of some great ones... Stuff like:
- For a few dollars more
- Tyranny: not anymore
- The good, the skilled, and the legendary
- ...whatever you come up with

Remember, players play as hired guns cleaning up a town of corrupt officials, cattle rustlers, bandits, horse thieves, and murderers. By the way, when I have a good title I'll post some of the mechanics(and maybe some preliminary art) for you guys to tear apart. Thanks!

Okay ... I'll start tossing

Okay ... I'll start tossing things from the hip pocket ...

"Not Enough Room ..."
(as in "... in this town for the both of us").

or

"Justice Comes Calling"

or

"The Saving of _____"
(fill in the name of the town, such as "Tumbleweed Gulch" or "Big Horn Falls", etc.)

... maybe more later.

Outlaws

I like the name OUTLAWS, but there was a LucasArts computer game made off of this title 15 or 20 years ago. Maybe I could still use it.

Any titles that include the words Outlaw, Desperado, or Gunslinger are especially good.

Maybe . . .

"Tumbleweed."

All the Clint Eastwood quotes I could think of were from Dirty Harry.

Just "gulch-ify" it...

Going for the easy answers then...

• Outlaw Gulch
• Desperado Gulch
• Gunslinger Gulch

None of these titles are taken on BGG. Of the three, I like Outlaw Gulch the most. It has the fewest syllables. Gunslinger Gulch is my second-favorite. It alliterates nicely.

As a riff on Jon's

As a riff on Jon's suggestions, you could use "Junction" or "Canyon" instead of "Gulch."

Your brief description suggests the cliche of the sheriff who cleans up the town. Except all of the players are trying independently to clean things up, so multiple sheriffs. So how about "The Sheriffs of Outlaw Junction"? (or "...Gambler's Canyon" or "...Dry Gulch" or whatever)

Hired Guns

The players aren't sheriffs, but hired guns. That has a nice ring to it! How about: Hired Guns?

Hired Guns is "clean" on BGG.

A BGG search for "Hired Guns" turns up no responses.

The Name Game

"Posse" wasn't a bad suggestion. Why not "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly?"

Might be a legal issue

GB&U might have legal implications. If not Hang 'em High is another good option.

How about these:

Threats Muttered Through Clenched Teeth
In Cold Blood
Wanted: Dead or Alive
Draw!
High Noon (did someone say this one yet?)

Name of the game

As of yet, the catchiest and possibly the most representative titles for your game might be Hired Guns or High Noon. Very cowboy western! Got nothin' myself.

Thanks, tons of great ideas!

Thank you for all of your help, but I've run into another problem... which one do I pick?

For now, the working title will be GUNSLINGERS. I was originally toying with the idea of desperadoes and gunslingers, gunslingers and outlaws, outlaws and desperadoes, etc...

For clarification, in the game, players play as hired guns, not as sheriffs competing to rule the town. Think of the scenario as the scenario in Magnificent Seven. In fact, maybe the name could be "Magnificent x", you decide the x based on the number of players.

And, sedjtroll, I like the name "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly", but I think too many people would think it's a card game re-make of the movie... which I don't want, and as a bonus for not using it, I might avoid a law suit.

Thanks guys, I hope I can post some mechanics for y'all to critique soon!
