Dymino Monsters: Game Mechanics
For Solo, Co-op, Multiplayer campaigns:
Players choose a character
Player uses 1 d10 for movement
Find your character tracking level sheet.
Find your scavaging sheet.
Find your objective sheet.
(Note: These might be separated or in a booklet. I haven't decided yet but I'm working on the best solution where everything is readily available at a glance)
Shuffle weather deck for the game session and draw 1 weather card.
Read and follow the effects, lay on the playmat for reference.
Shuffle emotion dweller deck
Draw 9 emotion cards. Separate the cards into 2 piles.
1 draw pile for your character (s)
1 draw pile for encounters
During pvp, solo, co-op campaign, multiplayer and combat
Players stack their double 6 domino sets facedown and stack 4 high.
For every player on the field, there will be 2 encounters per character on the field at a glance with their own (1 double 6 domino set) during combat phases.
Using the dominoes sets during combat:
Monster encounters will already be set up (by the player) with their own set of 4 domino tiles face up for offense and defense points.
Players use their double 6 domino sets for offense and defense.
Combat turns are turned based in 1 action.
You strike with 4 tiles by adding up the top pips or numbers above the divide bar that is closer or facing the encounter card.
In defense mode:
You defend by adding all of the pips or numbers below the divide bar that is closer to you as the player.
If the player is defending the attack, and the defense points are higher than the attack points from the Encounter then both sets of 4 domino tiles from attacker and defender go to the bone yard.
Characters can counter attack next round by saying,"Counter attack". Player(s) and encounter resets their 4 tiles from their tile stack in the next row only.
Domino stacks are drawn from right side of column for right handed players.
Domino stacks are drawn from left side of column for left handed players.
Remember, domino stacks are in a row of 4 , seven across.
Character cards and encounter cards have their own attack and defense points system, by then using the dominoes sets to add or subtract for combat, climbing, other details during game play.
Domino stacks are reshuffled facedown then restocked as stated above.
