Headhunter: Hilarious Hires from History game update.

Photos of the game prototypes, example cards, and artwork. The pictured prototype contains 162 cards and 1d4. The Complete game will contain 250 cards and 1 die. The die will either be a 1d4 or a custom d6 with sides of 1-2-2-3-3-4. Test copies are in the process of being sent out for review. Also, playtests continue with the hard-copy prototype instead of only a print and play.

Who did your prototypes?

Who did your prototypes? Shrink-wrapped boxes.. much fancier than what I did :)

My guess "The Game Crafter"

That looks like the old boxes that I was using for cards. I since moved to the "Small Pro Box" or the "Medium Pro Box" for a nicer finish. But those boxes with the two (2) wells are decent for prototypes and reviewer copies.

They don't need production quality. And shrink-wrapping is available for ALL games that are sold and made on TGC.

TGC

Good call Quest, indeed it was the Game Crafter. I must agree, the small pro and medium pro are nicer boxes, but we just wanted something a little nicer than a piece of paper for the prototype. I believe that you are correct, I think that all the boxes some with the shrink-wrapped option.

Hehehe LOL

I don't think I know of any OTHER POD that shrink-wraps their game boxes! The Game Crafter (TGC) is the only one that I know of and... I was part of their IndieGoGo many years ago in which we "funded" for shrink-wrapping for all and forever! LOL

It's true, there was such a campaign!

Anyways your product looks nice... I like all of the Historical Characters on the box wearing all kinds of different uniforms and performing all kinds of various jobs... Seems "different"!

Wishing you the best with your game!

Its a Wrap

Hey that's cool that you were part of that campaign, and funny that there even was one. Thanks for the kind words about our prototype! We are working on crowd building and going to send out some for reviews.

Thanks

Ah, cool.

My game didn't fit the mold of a TGC game, so I didn't even look into it in detail.. I had to do it by hand.

Of course NOW TGC is a lot closer to my game, since they have custom dice :) (my game is a lot of custom dice and weird-sized standees)

Custom Dice

Yeah, I see the new custom dice and do like them and have considered them for a few fun projects here and there. TGC does have custom punchouts, but I'm not sure the price is right.

There's a thing about it in my "blog" here, but it made more sense for me to do a color printout myself, spray-glue it onto cardboard, and then cut them myself (first pass with a paper cutter, and then rounding the corners by hand with scissors)
