As most of you know, the tiki got mucked up due to our ISP upgrading then subsequently rolling back the version of PHP that the server was running. Due to the ISPs lack of availability and willingness to help, we have switched the tiki to a new site and it is back online. Dave and I are currently working to get it back to the state it was before the Database got scrambled. This will mainly involve reinstalling all of the cool mods Dave made before the site went down.
The site is currently here:
http://69.57.154.93/~bgdf625/tiki/tiki-index.php
The current plan is to rollover into the new software by Wednesday, September the 14th, or possibly sooner.
What we still need done:
1) More wiki content added. The more wiki content we have when we go live, the better.
2) Suggestions on how to make the site better and easier to use.
3) As a continuation of #2, we need people to become proficient using the new site and then to type up guides for new users to access all of the sites various features.
Tiki wiki has a lot of features, our main job between now and rollover time will be to make the site seem less scarey and easier to use. Any suggestions or ideas how to do that will be greatly appreciated. Temporarily, please post comments in this thread until we can get everyone on board over there.
If you need your passwords reset, please let Zzzz or myself know.
Thanks,
Michael
Should I find it odd that once you announced the tiki site is alive on this thread, that I am starting to have problems with the wiki site tonight?

Wow! The new host is great. I found this in my e-mail box today:
The server where your website is locate is currently under DDoS attack.
We apologize for the downtime of your website and are working hard to
resolve this issue. We will not be able to respond to all tickets
regarding this matter in a timely manner, because we would rather spend time
stopping the attack. More announcements will follow on the status of
the server.
Your website is safe and the data is not compromised. Any e-mails sent
to you will reach you in time. The only thing that is affected by this
attack is the server perfomance and the availability of the actual
websites. If you notice e-mail, FTP, SSH and other services are not
affected.
WHAT IS A DDOS ATTACK
A Distributed Denial of Service attack is a method used by hackers to
overload the server and make it unresponsive. By establishing hundreds
of connections each second, the offenders consume system resources
beyond the server's capability. The attack is called distributed when there
is a large number of computers attacking one server.
WHAT IS BEING DONE TO RESOLVE THIS
We are actively banning attacking IP addresses as soon as we find them
out. Additional anti-dos software is being implemented to fight the
excessive connections. The hackers do not have an unlimited number of
machines under their control and therefore this attack will not last for
too long. We expect it to stop by Friday noon (EST time zone).
We appreciate your patience during this unfortunate incident. If you
think your website might be the primary target and you know who could be
doing this, please share this information. This will help us prevent
future attacks.
Sincerely,
Anton Rukhlin

I have never had a ISP actually be PROACTIVE with their support before. This is very, very reassuring. I assume the site will be back online later today. Coolness.
