My wife and I are expecting our first baby! We just had our first ultrasound today and got to see pictures! No, I won't be the crazy expecting father-to-be and post them. I just hope that he/she grows to love board games as much as I do (if it's genetic, I hope she takes after my side of the family)!
Good News!
Congratulations!
Wow... maybe you will get new ideas after being a father! Maybe a game called "Dirty Diapers"! Just kidding, again congratulations!.

Congratulations! My third one will be 2 weeks old tomorrow. My oldest is 4 and I pull out games every night and play with her. There are so many great kids games out there to strengthen their mental and motor skills. A couple years ago I thought about creating a game for her, but with over 20 kids games in the closet right now I don't think there is any need for me to add one to it. Check out Goodwill if you want good kids games for dirt cheap. People get rid of them as soon as their kids outgrow them... and sometimes they have never been played.

Let me jump in with congratulations, and to say that this will be an exciting time for you. Our first was born 5 weeks ago, but he was only due today.
They like to play little games with you right from day one (or -35).
Enjoy, and God's blessings to you all!
Hey SiskNY...
A hearty congratulations to you and your wife! Having kids (by my experience is about equal parts of extreme joy and extreme frustration, but maybe a little more of the first part. :-)
Having a kid will also change your brain. I'm not sure really how to better describe it than that, but things seem different on the other side of the baby fence. Don't worry, it's a good change! Nothing to worry about. :-) But every parent I've talked to says, "Yeah, you're right!"
Best wishes,
Scott S.
Sounds sweet! Congratz!
There's no kids in my field yet, so I can't really give any advice except GOOD LUCK!

Congrats to you my friend. My only bit of advice: Get the game designing/playing in NOW while you still have the chance. =D Time is a precious commodity on the flip side of babydom.

Congratulations, that's awesome!
My kid is the most amazing and wonderful thing that's ever happened to me. It changed my brain, too, my whole outlook on life, but as noted, in a good way.
I wish you, your wife, and your child all the best in life, especially all those hard yet wonderful lessons that make life worth living!

Also remember to wait until the new baby can at least manipulate pieces with thier hands before getting them into gaming. If you don't the baby will just grab onto the pieces and stick them in their mouth.
Hrm....designing baby safe games with tasty pieces....I might be on to something!
Sorry for the belated congratulations, but this is great news! I wish you the very best.
Congratulations. My wife and I are on our third. Kids are great. My oldest (3) is already a board game freakm, which is ok with me. If they see you playing even when they can't they learn to love what mom and dad love.
Good Luck
Fantastic news!
Congratulations! I've got 2 boys (aged 4 and 2), with another child due in mid-November. Lots of hard work but its great.
Congratulations to you and your wife. And don't worry about the diapers, they are clean when you first put them on(Smile). Gamemaker-KD

Congratulations, what a happy and wonderful time of life.
My best advice {my teenagers still talk to me!!!) is to spend lots of time with your kids and talk to them. Playing games with them will bring you all much joy and is an easy way to create strong loving bonds. Yeah everyone gives advice... you're probably already sick of hearing about others.....ah well theres my two sents worth. Wishing your soon to be family much good fortune as you go on the most amazing ride of your life.
Best Wishes
Sue
