I'm busy printing out a prototype for Protospiel, which begins tomorrow.
I have a deck of cards, action cards. I print them on Avery business card sheets, 10 to a sheet. The last few times I've done this, they've clung together in the most annoying way. They never used to do that for me. I went to the store for some help. I went to the Avery site for some help.
Independent of those places, I figured out what was wrong: I was using "Clean Edge" business cards. They have little or nothing in the way of perforation to hold them together. They do, however, have a light, wax-like coating on one side. It was this coating that was making my cards stick to each other.
I now have the cards with the perforated edges, and they work fine.
This may be obvious for everyone else, but it was a moment of enlightenment for me.
I leave for Protospiel in the morning, and I have so much to get done before I go! Arrgghhh!
