I know this has been discussed here before, but I can't find it. After sending a spec sheet for a game to a publisher, what is a reasonable amount of time to wait before contacting them again if I haven't heard back? One week? Two? Three? More?
How long to wait?

How long to wait?
In my limited experience, one company got back to me the next day, while another one hadn't contacted me in a month, so I sent a polite reminder email which promted a response in a few days.
Thanks for your reply to my question. I think I already understand that it takes months for a company to respond once you SEND A PROTOTYPE. My question was more with regard to how long to wait once you simply send an inquiry and a spec sheet to see if they even want a prototype. I emailed my spec sheet and am wondering how long I should wait to hear back.
