I've just today took the time to calculate the TIME taken to Set-Up and Play "Crystal Heroes" (CH). To be brief, here are the results:
1. Set-up time took 5 minutes for a 2-Player Duel.
2. Playtime (which was very fast this time around) took ~15 minutes.
So that meant that from Set-up to playing a game, it took about ~20 minutes. And this was because this playtest was VERY FAST.
The score landed up to be (Player #2 won): 9 vs. 4 ... So it was a blow-out game which ONLY lasted 5 Rounds to WIN the game. I think this is the FASTEST game that I have ever played. I'm going to try a 2nd attempt tonight to see again, how long a maybe more "average" game last.
Like I said, this Duel was LIGHTNING FAST and one player cleared the board meanwhile one or two turns extra would have put the game at a closer score TBH.
So let's try a second game:
1. Set-up time took 3 minutes for a 2-Player Duel.
2. Playtime took ~18 minutes.
Much better of a match... It lasted only 6 Round with Player #1 winning: the score was 9 vs. 4 ... Again some RADICAL scoring to finish a Round later.
I will have to TRY a third (3rd) and final Duel for tonight ... Because honestly the games have been BLOW-OUTS (lost of scoring on one side of the table) ... And more than double their competitors scoring.
One last time (3rd game):
1. Set-up time took 3 minutes for a 2-Player Duel.
2. Playtime took ~25 minutes.
Player #2 won 10 vs. 6 ... In the 8th Round. This game felt more SOLID in terms of what was going on in the Area of Play. Much smoother TBH.
I'm happy with the results... It would seem like a Game last about ~30 minutes and is about 15 minutes per player.
Cheers all!
Okay this is Game #4:
1. Set-up time took 4+ minutes for a 2-Player Duel.
2. Playtime took ~10 minutes.
This game TOO was SUPER FAST in that Player #2 won by collecting three (3) "Chaos" Crystals (Purple ones) and was in the lead with 4 vs. 1 Crystals. This has NOW got to be the FASTEST game on record.
I'm getting TIRED... So I will retire to bed. I'm going to RECORD some more games tomorrow to see how long playing the game takes. I think with 4-Players it would take longer as there is MORE options available to the players in terms of WHERE(?) to play their Game Tiles (Units).
So expect some more playthrus tomorrow.
Regards.
