I live in Shanghai. I have a new word game prototype I've been using with ESL students in my classes, but I'd like to run it by some O/C wordies. I've dropped in on the ONE game club here, but they all play some pirated Chinese version of MtG and aren't interested in language games at all. If you live in Shanghai, too, perhaps you can suggest alternate venues I can try...and if not, perhaps you can suggest how I might get playtesters in other locations to try this out and give me some feedback. I'm also looking around for a publisher/producer who does small quantities (e.g. 100 units). So far, everyone I've contacted wants a minimum order of 10K units.
No playtesters here

Try posting to the game design forums there. Maybe you find some people to help.
Thanks for the tip. I didn't mean to imply that there are no gamers in China, but rather that they are difficult to find in my location, and when found, are preoccupied with Chinese games (understandably) to the exclusion of everything else.
