Hi everyone Dan here. My game Zodiak Legends is moving along really well and before I go to kickstarter I'd like to build my fan base a little better and spread the "Word of Mouth" about my game by sending it to trusted reviewers. Does anyone have someone in mind who would be good for this?

I'm looking to send out about 20-40 copies of my game to reviewers and general people of interest.

I would suggest the following

I would suggest the following reviewers:

Father Geek - www.fathergeek.com *Free
Gamer Chris - www.gamerchris.com *Free
Dice Tower - www.dicetower.com *Charges $150-$250 for a review

There are also a host of reviewers over at the BGG forums. Good luck with your project!

It’s hard for me to trust a paid review. Even if they try to be unbiased subconsciously they will tend to give positive reviews because of the standard social contract of reciprocity.

To clarify, The Dice Tower

To clarify, The Dice Tower does NOT charge for reviews. If a game is sent to them and they feel it's worth playing they will review it eventually in some form (written, video or podcast). What they charge for is a "paid preview" which is when they put out a review-style video for a Kickstarter project to promote it for you.

Even though they state up front that it is a paid review I still feel it is tainted. I might have more confidence if at least once they would point out a game’s shortcomings.

In the beginning I didn't

In the beginning I didn't even think to do this but after listening to funding the dream I feel like this is one of the most important steps I can take before moving to kickstarter.

I was thinking about sending some copies of the game to
Richard Bliss and other kickstarter and game review podcasters as well as regular trust worthy members of BGDF and BGG
