Greetings everyone! I haven't been a regular at BGDF in some time but I hope everyone is doing well.
Some of the old timers will remember my game "Disciples", which was workshopped and talked about extensively here back in the day, and for which the BGDF was a tremendous help. In 2014 I started working on a sequel to that game, "Evangelists", a game about composing the texts that are now known as the Christian Gospels (the first four books of the New Testament).
I'm doing a small run of the game and it releases for sale on 3/15. If this is of interest to you, please take a look at www.belltowergames.com
But I've also documented the production process, which might be useful to anyone contemplating self-publishing; you can find that at the BGG page, https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/348939/acts-evangelists
Finally I'll note that I've actually sort-of resumed work on Disciples after a 15 year hiatus. Thread here if you want to see where it might be going next: https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/2826159/disciples-design-defibrillation
Thank you!
I guess my feeling as a designer is that at this point (well, as of tomorrow, anyway), the game is mostly out of my hands and people are free to have their say. I do hope people will enjoy the game but either way I hope they'll post comments or reviews or session reports at BGG or wherever, both to bring greater awareness to the game and to extend the conversation beyond what I have to say and more into the realm of what they got out of playing.
So no specific plans on my end but I'm certainly interested to see what people think!
