I just wanted to confirm that a 2nd company who is involved with shipping via sea ... Has confirmed that a $5,000 USD Full Container with about 5,000 games, is now costing $20,000 USD. That's 4x the price from the year earlier and is a dramatic increase.

The first company that I got news from was Steve Jackson Games (makers of Munchkin) and the second company is Mayday Games (makers of all kinds of card sleeves)... Anyhow the price of things is going UP and well that will no doubt surely impact the price of games too...

For TradeWorlds we have about 1,000 units... So 1/5th of a container. Doing some basic math we get about $4,000 USD to ship that LFC (Less than Full Container) via sea. That means around $4 USD per game. Wow... That is a lot since Freight used to be $1 to $2 USD per game.

I don't know if Stan over at OLG will share his cost of shipping... But it would be curious to know the PRICING of this kind of LFC shipment.

In any event, no doubt we shall get news about this real soon!

In our situation...

The price of shipping to different countries (USA, Canada and Germany) might make Freight more than $4,000 USD. It may be around $5,000 to $6,000 USD.

In any event, Mike's estimate was $3,500 USD and it looks like because of the division of inventory, it may be more costly than expected (initially).

Looks like Mike's previous estimates may be wrong ... But the question that remains is "BY HOW MUCH"???

Cheers all!

Here are the Links/URLs for ppl interested in some GOOD reading

So this is the link for Steve Jackson Games:

And this is the link for Mayday Games:

https://www.maydaygames.com/blogs/news/after-10-years-are-are-raising-ou...

Again two (2) examples of relatively SOLID companies (it's not just my own research that conveys this increase in prices...) Some people might say that I'm not getting the RIGHT information. I've confirmed with a few sources and indeed the price of a container is $25,000 CAD these days.

But everyone deals in US Funds so that's ~$20,000 USD anyways... Just had a conversation about this tonight. And while it's $25,000 CAD, it's 100% what people are saying about the cost of Freight.

Cheers.
