I should actually "hit up" Dralius (@David) because he was working closely with Mayfair games on his "Star Trek" game which was published by Mayfair Games a couple years back.

Anyway it seemed like David was getting into the "Good Books" of the team and was considered to be one of Mayfair's designers...

I wonder how HE feels about this "acquisition" by Asmodee???

Asmodee owns Plaid Hat Games, Z-Man Games, and of course FFG... To name only a few who are better well known. Now they have included Mayfair games too!

@David: if you're reading this, we'd love to hear the news from the Horse's Mouth (so to speak). Tell us how you feel about this and what impact has it had with regards to your relationship with Mayfair!

Get in on the talk –– To see how this merger may impact our own Dralius' good relationship with Mayfair...

From what I have understood,

From what I have understood, Mayfair was not so much bought by Asmodee (aka: merger, buy out, etc) as much as they made the decision to close up shop and Asmodee bought a large portion of the MFG catalog (of both MFG and Lookout) so as to continue publishing those titles.

To quote MFG:

“As of today, the management team at Mayfair Games, Inc. announces we will wind down game publishing,” the company said in a statement. “After 36 years, this was not an easy decision or one we took lightly, but it was necessary. Once we had come to this conclusion, we knew we had to find a good home for our games which is when we reached out to Asmodee.”

As for how this will affect employees or those working with MFG, I assume like any other company closing it's doors.
