Prologue:
Some might have noticed me, not posting at all, lately.

Things happened in life. At work. And for my board gaming as well.

It goes well. It goes well. The third part is kinda gone.

There has been one thing going for me. And it was playing video games. Especially the PC kind. But also mobile games. Games that I can play and simply shut off again when time runs out.

One game in particular. On my cellphone.
I met some nice people in an alliance (very important, patient people).
And also get to partake of their Discord group.

And a couple of those people actually had their personal video channel in Discord.

One thing lead to another. I simply asked the video posters of what program would be best to use. I picked one, and started posting.

For sharing video's. I had to upload them on a website. Best thing that comes to mind is my Youtube channel.

Meanwhile, I uploaded over 20 video's already.
You don't see me, you only hear me talking (except the very first).
You see me commenting as well in subtitles.
And you see me commenting on my subtitles with subtitles.
Long story short. I really enjoy making these video's. I try to put in some humour. While it often is very hard to do so.

I am planning to expand the number of games. The only way of doing this is to get a proper PC and recording tools. I am willing to spend some good money on it too!
My cousin is gonna help me with this.

4.5 months later.
I reached 100 subscribers.

And I have the feeling, these are real.

I am colaborating with another Youtuber, hosting a tournament.
I also got invited into the Youtube program of the main game that I share on my channel.

Actually gaining rewards this way.
It makes me happy!

250 milestone

A week or 2 ago, I reached 250 subscribers.
Meanwhile, the game developers that I mainly represent is awarding me with a steady flow of ingame rewards.
These are so high, that I hardly get to spend them now :)
Which is a good sign on the level of rewards.
But also an indication how little time I actually have in regards to attend to my hobby...

Ranting costs time. So, no more ranting.

By the way, this topic is relatively old. How come only now someone asks me to share?

So what you basically do is play and comment games a bit like a reviewer?

It's actually possible to do that with mobile device games too? Do you need a recorder on the mobile device or you record it on your PC?

I intend to make at least mobile games, I could send you a prototype when ready. If I am lucky, I could have something working by the end of the year. Knowing myself, it might only see the light next year, or not at all.

It got me so much more already :)

I comment on what is happening or what the player is doing. 90% is me in those video's, fighting another player.
But I am part of an inner circle. And also comment on tournament video's of other players who shared the video.

It is easier to do so with mobile devices. You can record the screen AND sound with the proper apps. I recommend DuRecorder for recording. It has also an edit function for beginners.
For those who have experience, Kinemaster is a better option.
All games so far are mobile, including Dune 2.
The 4 Minecraft video's have been recorded on my pc. Although, a jealous guy disliked bombed the last 2. AND my pc crashed as well due to me tinkering with it.

We come together on Discord. The proper link would be the one towards Fatsquatch Games. We have a company somewhere hiding there, that is making a mobile game. Fatsquatch himself announced to make video's of that game. Although, a couple of others got the link to the "under development" game as well.

Although, I could do a video on yours. You are welcome to participate on Discord. And I can arrange a section for you and your game development. You can post screenshots etc.
And send PM to people that you trust with a link to your game.

I shall send you a PM of the links to follow.

The following could be off topic.

A BGDF discord channel (or another platform) could be interesting. Either for chatting, playtesting or commenting instead of doing it in a forum.

I am not familiar with discord, it's like a audio chat right? In that case, we could have a meeling event every month where we talk about a specific subject.

Voice chat is also possible. I use it when I play a 2v2 game with my cousin.
But the possibility for voice chat rooms is possible as well. I can ask for details about this from the more experienced users.
There are already a couple around in every Discord server that I visit.
A reserved one should be possible as well.

This week

I reached 333 subscribers. I think in parts of 1000.

Although my progress is slow. The developers of AoW3 posted yet another video of me on the official Facebook page.
Which is being considered weird by certain observers:

1. I do not add #fanvideo anymore to my video's. Since I am already in the YT program. I feel that others should get the chance.
2. I do not place the link to the video's in the Discord section that also contains fanvideo.
3. I ridicule my opponent in the chosen video. Normally frowned upon by many. I only do that with people who complain and flame a lot... wait, maybe it was a notorious complainer towards the developers as well.

Somehow I get the feeling. That the developers think that those who want to get into the programming. Are missing something. While I am showing it all the time.
I have yet to discover what it is, that makes me different compared to the, what I consider, the best candidates to get on that official Facebook page.

You have yet to see the 2v2 I did with him.
From his channel, his point of view. His reaction is often like naming an unit that is "useless" or "imba".
He named me imba and himself useless. It was funny as he... :) The whole chat was laughing.

I can't believe it has been almost exactly a year since I posted about this one.
Perhaps you might have noticed my sudden silence this week.

A group of Youtubers of the game AoW3, hav gathered. And we started doing a podcast.
Either way, we are having fun!

That's how I feel about "Designing Games"! I just wish that I could make some monies so that I can KEEP on designing some more. But anyways it looks like the deed is done... Oh well... Customers will have to pay more (I guess). I finally have a game that I can release on TGC's platform ... And now the price is going up making the odds of succeeding less likely.

Note #1: And someone could say you can get a REAL "job" ... And I would be like: "Why can't I do the things that I am good at... And make them MY job???" Like I'm not going to start a Patreon or anything like that...

But I'm just hoping that maybe people LIKE "Dual Dice" so that I can in the Future launch Crystal Heroes (CH) which has amazing ART! I've shown some before in my Blog... So you guys know what to EXPECT!

Anyways 89 Followers for Dual Dice and I spend about $50 USD for Facebook marketing to gamers in Canada and the USA too... Tried Europe ... Was too big of an Audience... Had to narrow it down a bit!

An update

While I am super busy with work, school, family, friends and other projects.

I had spend less time on my YT channel.
In November I started growing again.
However, GearGames decided to kick me out of their program. While I still had the minimum requirements. They simply decided to kick me.

I had to proces this for a bit. But since I am going up and down due to "see the first line of this post". I decided to invert my YT materials. And simply upload other stuff.

Then again, I think my YT channel will halt now and decline first. But that is ok. Going to have fun. Not work.

No real decline. But no growth either.

I uploaded other games. And sometimes, I find it really really weird. Some of the video's actually get much more attention. Or at least a lot of views.
The difference is, of the same series, one video gets like 12 views, another over 240. A factor of 20 people. But why?
Is it really the thumbnail? Do they really click something that doesn't look familiar at all?

If that is true, I have to work on those kind of thumbnails.

As for a new era. It just starters. I have streamed 3 times so far. And have to admit, I like it.
First stream, obviously a test.
Second stream, bad timing, not much viewers, perhaps a boring game.
Third stream, a mobile stream, can't read the chat directly. Perhaps I should have a co-assistent.

As for reading the chat, the other 2 streams. I could read them while watching myself on my mobile.
For the third stream, which was a HUGE succes in relatively terms. I had to switch constantly. But the most fun part was, 2 in the chat, played with me too!
(We lost hard twice)
Even some....idk who they where. But joined the chat as well. I have very positive experiences here.

Are these YouTube Streams/Videos???

Where can I have a look at these STREAMS??? I checked your YouTube Channel and I saw a bunch of new SHORTS ... I personally LIKED the "Nuke one/won" Hehehe... But it was like 1.7k views.

I could not locate any STREAMS on the page... Only videos about your 3D Gaming and such.

This 3rd STREAM, where can it be found??? I would like to take a look and see what your are "streaming" about. Is it RTS Gaming, Your Mobile Game or something else... Maybe in relation to any of your playtesting?!

Anyways please feel free to share. I like to be aware of these kinds of matters, I know it's not important AFTER The stream... You want viewership DURING the stream... But I'd still like to have a look.

I saw your explanation of the "Gator" for the Mobile Game... In any event looks cool... But not my type of game to play.

For Heaven's sake my Family likes "Splendor"... We have not graduated to Ticket-To-Ride... Hehehe... Thanks to Stephen "@let-off studios" for selling me that game. The Family really like it. It's simple enough but hard to squeak a victory at times depending on the cards you draw...

So if you feel like SHARING, please let us know WHERE we can WATCH!

Note #1: I read earlier that you were kicked from Gear Game's RTS Program ... That's what I don't like with ONLINE games: you are expected to give your life over to these games if you want perks... And most of the TOP players are young and have no life (other than playing Video Games). I remember how when I was in my late Teens to Middle 20s how I played a bunch of games too... But that was 3 decades ago... I'd rather try to bring a Card Game to LIFE than to spend all my time PLAYING someone else's GAME(s).

But hey that's just me. I can watch videos and see what the games are about and I know that's the past... I keep it that way.

I've learnt how to play Magic: Arena (MagicA) and Pokemon TCG too... All because you can play online. I've having touched MagicA for like 6-Months and Pokemon is even further in the past...

In any case... I spend most of my time Designing and working on my games. And of course contributing to BGDF.com and trying to encourage more ppl (Designers) to become REGULARS... As you can see, there are still some of us AROUND! Hehehe.

Thanks for showing up and showing "@Steve" we still have ppl who enjoy discussing mechanics, reviewing rulebooks, discussing rules, looking for answers, etc.

That is the place to be.
1. More of a test. And I play Warzone 2100.
2. I play Unreal, and was supposed to play till the endboss. But then....I realised no one was watching that.
3. Most of my subscribers are on my channel for this game. So, I had a lot of likes already. View count is roughly the same as any other video of mine.
