Just a quick FYI, Bernardo, the Designer of "Ambal Tournament" will be trying for another time to crowd fund his game. I've offered him a FREE 30 days of Ad Space (1 Banner - 2 Slots) since his last KS did not succeed ... And I felt like giving him a break because the game did NOT fund (the last time around)...
His current pre-launch link to his campaign is:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/195863430/ambal-tournament-foundati...
If any of you are interested in this game, feel free to register to be notified when the crowd funding campaign gets launched (some time in August)... His gaming company is "Salt Ring Games" and his project is based in Japan.
In the event that Bernardo is successful this time around, I've offered him another 30 days of pre-orders which could come as a change of banner and a change of Link/URL. Of course this will be much easier to create a 2nd banner if he IS successful.
Wishing him all the best (and obviously success)... Cheers!
Well he did pay for a banner (2 Slots) the last time around for 30 days. But he did NOT fund... So I figured this time around, it should be FREE for him! I know it's not a lot of money... But while he is NOT funding, he isn't making any money... Which means that spending on ads and such is extra cost. I don't want people to think that I am in it for the money. Like I said, it was and is supposed to be a community effort.
Indeed it's a chance to see your game being promoted in BIG! But the goal is that Game Designers and their associated services could eventually be marketed on BGDF.com. For example, I tried to offer a banner to QuarterMaster Logistics (QML). So if you need a warehousing services... BAM!! The Ad for QML appears (like Magic)!
Yes there is a bit of monies exchanged. But all BGDF.com needs to do is get them 1 customer and the payment for the banner is PAID! If repeated, the banner becomes an efficient tool to drive people to "preferred" services (the ones that we can swear-by).
It's about having information about the right service provider or to simply market a product properly. It's not about cash-grabs like some other websites which charge a LOT ($800+ per month). But again, I guess it depends on the GOAL of your Banner program.
