Hi everyone...
After a couple of years of scraping playtests together by annoying my various gaming groups to try my game, I've decided to damn the torpedoes and try to get together a monthly playtest group in New York City.
This group would ideally meet every second Saturday of the month - so I'd like to set the first meeting on May 8. Of course, the date is open to change.
I haven't figured out a good location yet - I'd like it to be some sort of public place in Manhattan, near some kind of safe, easy parking (like a garage), and within realistic distance of a subway stop. I'd also prefer there to be no entry fee (as I understand it, Neutral Ground charges admission). Of course, it shouldn't be so loud that we can't hear ourselves speak (I understand Neutral Ground tends to be pretty loud), or so quiet that we all must whisper (which would eliminate libraries, and make Barnes & Noble difficult).
There's a GREAT game store in Brooklyn that would be perfect (Kings Games), but there's no garage there, and my car got broken into the first (and last, and only) time I drove there.
That would probably leave The Compleat Strategist on 33rd Street as the prime canditate... if they have open gaming tables, which I'd imagine they do.
If you are a gamer within driving or subway distance of Manhattan, then let me know if you'd be interested in joining, and if you know of any places we can meet!

P.S. Jeff W., if you're in the Albany area now, you are a mere two hours from NYC! :bambi eyes:
Nope, nothing. Not a peep from the NYC area. You are the third Albany-area posting member, though, so perhaps some good will come out of this thread...
