I hope this is the right spot for this, if not, i apologize.

I'm working on finding a design for my cards that have enough art real estate and textbook space.

The immediately important information (info you need while it's in your hand) is the cards HP and the "M/2/1" on the bottom of the card. The actual text is important after you play it.

I tried to enlarge thone things to make them more apparent to the player.

Also i need help with selecting a smooth, casual font. Currently I'm using Some kind of Gothic font. Forgot the name of it. Any help and advise will be greatly appreciated.

Few Things

Actually, i do like the art, but the card layout doesn't seem to match the style.

What program are you using?

I would recommend that you change the font of the HP and X/X/X at the bottom, to be different from anything else on the card so as to make it stand out even more.

And maybe to have more of a reminder of the area the characters can attack in, maybe consider adding around the frame

How do I add an image, then I'll attach some idea?

I'm not sure how to add

I'm not sure how to add images to replies. You could upload it and then reply with the link.

Good layout

The layout seems pretty solid, with maybe a few adjustments in the colour. I feel the colour makes things a little static, maybe try some abstract design on the background of the card. The grey outlines also seems to clash a bit with your background colour. But the way everything is positioned seems great.

Speaking for the over-50

Speaking for the over-50 crowd, your text is too small. On my screen it comes up quite a bit bigger than a card would be, and I can barely read it. I don't think your art will lose anything by being a little smaller, and you can lose the border on the art and the copyright stuff at the bottom, and you'll have more room for bigger text.

Also, I'd like to see some iconography that duplicates the text, or even replaces it. So, for the "Growing Thorn!" action, a stun icon and either 5 damage icons or a basic damage icon with a 5 inside it. Then, perhaps in parentheses, 3 more damage icons, or a damage icon with a 3.

I've never seen anyone put a copyright message on every card. That seems excessive an a waste of space. The art and the specific text is all you can copyright, anyway, and putting one in your game instructions will get you the same protection as putting it on every card.

Thank you. I have other cards

Thank you. I have other cards that of varying colors and I thought grey would be a good neutral color to use for the borders for all the cards.

I might end up dropping the art border after I work some more stuff around.

Thank you. I plan on making the text bigger definitly. And I will see if i can work more on an icon-based manner. I will have to play with that.

I put the copyright on every card because my game is a trading card game and honestly, I'm just following what other established tcg companies are doing with their copyrights. I'm not sure if it differs from board and trading card games.

I got a bit carried away...

Hi, i got a bit carried away with this, I hope you don't take offense, but this was easier than typing up all my opinions

• I personally think the less wordy a card is, the easier to understand.
• I like the 'lords of war'-approach, of having your aoe visible at a glance

This is obviously an attempt at forming a template, based on seeing one card, but your initial post kept me thinking al through work today, and I couldn't help myself when i got home.

No offense taken whatsoever! I really love the design on showing the range and everything actually! I will have to play with icon and see how I could work with them.

Also I forgot to answer your previous question, I use Clip studio and photoshop to make my templates and art.
