Chicken Roundup is a two player card game of spatial rearrangement where the players try to send chickens that are running wild in the farmyard back into their coop. Pecking order is very important in this farmyard and if chickens are lined up in the right order then a conga line of chickens could enter the coop for points. Care must be taken as there are also foxes roaming the yard and if they catch a chicken your plans may be foiled.
This game has been in development for over a year and a half and I'm thinking it's 90+ percent done. Any feedback is appreciated; even thoughts from just reading through the rules.
I've gotten in a few playtests in its current form and the landscape can change pretty dramatically during a single turn. Because of that you can kind of start to plan for your next turn during your opponent's turn but there's also a lot of 'what's the best move I can make right now' which I guess makes it more of a tactical game.
I'll be bringing to Gen Con so hopefully I'll get in a bunch more playtests.
Thanks for checking it out. Even rules impressions are appreciated.
