Stock Collector: Rules 1.0
Game Design By
2 Players | 10+

Intro:
In the near future the economy booms, and the rush to invest in on. Invest in riskier ventures or take the sure cash. The choice is yours. Invest wisely and take advantage of your opponent, but in the end, only one will come out on top….

Components:
8 Double-sided Chits (¾” x ¾”)
21 Share Cards (6 of each company & 3 point cards (3,3,5)) (3 ½” x 2 ½”)
These Rules

Setup:
First choose a dealer, then give each player 4 chits. Then shuffle the shares and get ready to play.

Gameplay:
The dealer flips over 3 Share cards onto the table, all the players take turns tossing their chits, one at a time across the table from about 1 foot away. The chits have to bounce at least once for them to count. The first player to land a chit on a Share card with their color face up wins it and gets to take their chit back and throw again. If they land a chit on a Share card but the other player’s color is face up, the other player wins the share card, but they get to take their chit back and throw again. The round ends when all 3 Share cards have been claimed, or all players are out of chits. If all the cards are gone, but players still have chits left, the dealer refills the table with new cards and players continue playing with the chits they had left. When the round ends the dealer clears the rest of the leftover stocks from the table and the process repeats. The game ends when a player has 6 stocks. Finish the round and then score as per the scoring below. You may only score 1 way. Example: Tom has 3 Red stocks, 2 Blue stocks, and 1 Yellow stock. He may score 4 for the pair, 9 for the 3 of a kind and 1 for the Yellow. Or he may score 6 for 1 of each and score 4 for the leftover pair, and 1 for the leftover single Blue.

Scoring:
1 point for each unmatched Share card
4 points for each pair
6 points for one of each company
9 points for all three of a company
Point cards get scored at face value

I don't really get the theme,

I don't really get the theme, here.

That doesn't seem to have anything at all to do with throwing chits to try to land them on cards. I mean, at best you maybe could have 2 of one company and you "go for" the third one while ignoring the others, except I can't believe there's that much accuracy to begin with. That's usually just referred to as a "set collection" mechanic.

Also the thing about the chits bouncing seems weird to me, since they're cardboard squares.

The rules need to be much more specific for a game like this. How far apart are the three cards? What does it mean to be "about 1 foot away"? Since I have no control over the chit, really, why am I randomly giving a card to my opponent if it lands on their color, which I assume is about a 50-50 shot?

Seems very random, and I get nothing "stock" about it. Stock usually implies gain or loss over time, but here you're just matching, and the "companies" could be different animals being "hunted" and it would make more sense than stocks to me..
